Tailoring Next Generation Plant Growth Promoting Microorganisms as Versatile Tools beyond Soil Desalinization: A Road Map towards Field Application

Plant growth promoting bacteria (PGPB) have been the target of intensive research studies toward their efficient use in field as biofertilizers, biocontrol, and bioremediation agents among numerous other applications. Recent trends PGPB led to development versatile multifaceted that can be used different conditions such biocontrol plant pathogens metal contaminated soils. Unfortunately, all these efforts lead failed perform salty environments. Therefore, it is urgently needed address this drawback performance salinity context. In paper we provide a review state-of-the-art propose road map for next generation salinity. Beyond soil desalinization, our study paves way towards able services diverse environments heavy contaminated, or pathogen threatened. Smart adapted biofertilizers will inevitably allow mitigation alleviation biotic abiotic threats productivity
